Mary Wells – “My Guy” LIVE performance

I always thought this song was among one of Smokey Robinson’s greatest songs that he penned for someone other than the Miracles. Mary Wells’ 1964 recording of it remains timeless. This song linked her as one of Motown’s premier superstars (in its earliest days) and as a barrier breaker for black female and male performers. This is Mary performing it in 1982 on the heels of her Epic comeback album, “In and Out of Love”, released later the earlier year. Enjoy!
